Furniture Quotation and Approvals

A useful quotation is a controlled room-and-item scope

GEORGE Luxury accepts whole-home private residential furniture projects, not orders for one item or one room. There is no minimum number of pieces, while the current business reference is a minimum total order value of USD 18,000. The project quotation determines whether the proposed scope meets that threshold and which products, services and destination costs are included.

Room references, drawings and selection notes should be tied to the same quotation revision. This GEORGE Group work image does not represent the final document format for every project.

Check what gives each quoted line its meaning

A furniture name and total price are not enough for approval. The quotation or its referenced schedule should identify the room, item, quantity, main dimensions, configuration, material and finish direction, upholstery where applicable and agreed accessories. It should also distinguish movable furniture from fixed interior work and site services.

  • Product scope: room code, item code, quantity, dimensions and the drawing or image reference that controls the selection.
  • Finish scope: material, colour, hardware and the approved sample or finish code where available.
  • Service scope: design or coordination tasks, packing, freight, destination service and separately charged on-site installation when requested.
  • Commercial scope: currency, taxes or duties treatment, trade or delivery term, payment stages, quotation validity and applicable warranty document.
  • Exclusions and assumptions: site work, electrical connections, local lifting, storage, access limits or measurements still to be verified.

Treat timing figures as planning references

The current business references are a quotation in about five working days and a quotation that is usually valid for 30 days. These are not unconditional promises. The start point, completeness of the brief, number of rooms and revisions, product mix, destination and project-specific exceptions can change the actual timing. The quotation itself should state its issue date, validity and any conditions that affect pricing or availability.

A change after issue may require a revised quotation when it alters quantity, dimensions, configuration, material, finish, delivery route, installation scope or another cost assumption. Ask for changes to be recorded against a revision rather than approved through disconnected messages.

Separate production approval from general interest

Mark each decision as proposed, selected, approved or still open. Before production, the project documents should identify which drawings, finish samples, upholstery samples and product details require approval, who may approve for the owner and how conflicting comments are resolved. If a designer represents the owner, state whether the designer can approve appearance, dimensions and commercial changes or only recommend them.

Approval does not remove the need to verify site dimensions, access, product-specific evidence or destination requirements. Unknowns should stay visible until the responsible party closes them. A later site change should trigger review of affected furniture before the old approval is reused.

Send one brief that can become a quotation

Provide the destination, residence type, current drawing revision, room and furniture schedule, quantities, key dimensions, labelled references, required services, target project stage and the owner or representative who approves. Identify missing measurements and any categories expected in a later phase.

Request a whole-home furniture quotation review. The proposal, timing, validity, delivery and warranty conditions will be confirmed for the actual project.
